One of my New Years Resolutions (along with Lenten and budgetary goals in general) was to start cooking more. Besides the money it would save, eating more whole foods and less pre-packaged and processed foods is better for me in general. My friend and I will be starting a tradition of Tuesday Night Dinners. We will experiment with different recipes each Tuesday, cook them ourselves, drink some wine and just in general have a relaxing girls night in. With all the intramural sports teams I am on this summer (like last summer, I am on 5 sports teams again! Read about last summer’s teams here.) It’ll be good to take it easy and have some casual and laid back fun. And who knows, I could turn into a chef! I’ll keep you updated on what we try, what we like, and what we like less. While I don’t see kale or homemade veggie chips in our future (ew, gross! No offense to the kale/veggie chip lovers out there, but I am a human and not a rabbit!) I do think we’ll learn a lot and have a good time doing it.
